Love them both but other than style, the books are very different.

@Margaret I’m having SO much trouble getting into this one. She is making me crazy. Is it worth it?

Have you read My Grandmother Told me to Tell You She is Sorry. It’s good too.

I read it; I didn’t dislike it; however for me it was the least memorable of his books.

I didn’t love that one either but I was glad I read it before Brit Marie was here. I really REALLY loved that one.

Rick Bragg, also writes beautifully about his life and family. All Over But The Shouting and Avas Man, were great.

Dark room and cry ?. It may take weeks to get over and you will miss him!

LOL, that reminds me. I had listened to Ove on audio book and wasn’t ready to say good bye to him so I listened to it again.

Margaret

P.S. While I enjoyed listening to it, it would have been wiser and safer to listen to it while doing something OTHER THAN driving.

I’ve got the print edition on my shelves, plus I think I’ve got the eBook edition, but I just keep ignoring it. I’m a bit “over” cranky old men, but so many people say they loved the story, I’ll re think my resistance.

Me too! I’m about 3/4 through the book. It’s been in my pile for a year, and I finally decided to give it a go. It’s quite good. Ove is indeed “cranky”, but not without reason, and he has so many redeeming qualities!

I just started “us against you” tonight and I’m already on the brink of tears! So good!
