It’s a great book. My husband and I both read it. I look forward to the Tom Hanks movie, saw the Swedish one of it.

@Maxine It hasn’t yet. I think it is in production. Thus far, the movie has only been announced.

Thanks! I love the book and have watched the Swedish film. I hadn’t heard that an English language film was being produced so I’m very excited about it! Thanks for the info!! ?

I started watching the Swedish version of the book and then I heard that there will be an English version with Tom Hanks as Ove. I decided to wait for that although Tom Hanks is not necessarily how I pictured Ove but he’s such an extraordinary actor and he will be playing the role of an extraordinary man.

Yes, this book had me laughing and crying haha. That’s how you know it’s good!

That’s basically life. Death doesn’t necessarily mean dark and humour doesn’t necessarily mean light

I know…I know…and, I didn’t think it was my style of story, only to find out that I’m a lot like the old curmudgeon!!! ???‍♀️??‍♀️ I still think about Ove…any book that “endures” is a powerful story. ❤️

Try Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Similar style but different author.

It’s on my TBR. I’ve already started another book but I might read Eleanor Oliphant when I’m done with the book I’m reading now.
