It is about the French Revolution and I loved it. Required reading in my 9th grade English class in Canada and basically opened the world of classic literature to me 50 years ago. Read every Dickens after that. Not an easy read though.
It’s one of Dickens’ shortest novels, but it’s got a very cinematic feel to it and the way that Dickens’ presents and develops his characters is amazing. I couldn’t get enough of it when I read it because it gave me the transcendent experience that all fiction strives for. It’s one of my all-time favorite novels.
I’m a Dickens fan, but it’s not one of my favorites. I love Bleak House.
Cool , explore both then

World famous Quote. I ❤ this one.
Read it years ago and recall enjoying it.
It is a wonderful book, set during the French Revolution, about love and sacrifice. One of my favourites.
