Good thing I am 8 books ahead of schedule because I’m currently reading the Game of Thrones series with over 1,000 pages each (except for the 1st book with almost 900).

I know what you mean! I had to take a break from the first book ?

1
Nikki

It’s not that it’s boring, but it’s overwhelming. I haven’t seen any of the tv episodes, and wow all these characters, I had to take down notes. ?

I am reading another book alongside, which is of a different genre. Cuz I get overwhelmed especially with stories this intense.

1
LeilaniQuestion author

@Nikki I got a little confused but it was taking me to long to read (2 1/2 weeks) so I started reading my “easier” books first

1
Nikki

I started reading the first book last June 22 and am only at 49%. This is something I can’t speed read, else I’m going to miss some important stuff. ☹️

1

Glad I’m not the only slow reader!! Is that series any good?

1
Rebecca

yes I’m enjoying it!! I’ve never read this many books in a series before. But I am liking them a lot!!

2
Jenny

I’ve got the first on a watchlist on overdrive and was wondering if it was worth it

1
Rebecca

i think so. They all pretty much have over 400 pages. Most 500+. I think the first is the shortest. They all got good reviews and good ratings on Goodreads

2
Jenny

Good to know. Definitely adding to my endless TBR list

I just started the Goodreads challenge for 2017… yes I signed up late… life got in the way but I’m on #14

2
Reply
Jenny

What’s your challenge?

0
Shannon

I put myself down to read 50 books in 2017. With six kids at home I rarely get quiet time… and by the time I do, I just want to go to bed ?

1
Jenny

Since I’m disabled and unable to move out of my mom’s house I have 3 of 4 sibling living with me also ranging from the ages of 13-26 I don’t get much quiet time to read either it’s either my siblings making noise or my 2 dog’s it drives me insane!!

1
Shannon

I bet!! My kids range from 11 years to almost 2 years … no one naps at the same time and I’m always having to drive someone somewhere!! If we had pets I would probably lose my mind ?
