Pretty much you cannot go wrong with any! She’s an amazing writer. Only ones I’ve not enjoyed were Tenth Circle, Leaving Time and Lone Wolf. The Pact was the first I read of hers…probably near on 20 years ago and I was hooked!
Plain Truth was my first and Small Great Things was the last one I read. I loved them both. And read many of hers in between, not all of them did I enjoy.
She is able to take a controversial topic and paint it from a completely different angle. My Sister’s Keeper Nineteen Minutes Plain Truth I liked all these… Pick up one, and see if you enjoy her style. She certainly gives you something to think about…
I can’t stand her books. Only read if you want to cry or get angry or frustrated characters. People falsely accused of crimes and put to death, children born just to be used to keep another child alive? No thanks, the non-fiction world is hard enough to navigate without losing your mind, why read fiction about it?
None. Lol I’ve tried to read her books SO MANY times and I can’t stand it. I try to like her but don’t. Maybe give her a go and make up your own mind about her.
I tried to read her book small great things for my book club but couldn’t get past the first 100 pages. Too hateful and intense themes. I don’t care for her writing topics and writing style. Gave it my best effort to be open minded but……..
One author I keep trying to like because she has so many fans but I just can’t. I dislike her choice of topics which are straight from whatever is currently in the news and find her writing like chalk on a blackboard only worse. But that’s just me.
The first I ever read of hers was her most recent: A Spark of Light. I thought it was so amazing I grabbed Small Great Things off the BN Bargain table in hardback. Now collecting older issues from bargain, thrift and library. I think just grab the first one you can get your hands on. For me – I’m hooked!
They’re almost all fabulous. Some better than others, but all worth reading. I too liked My Sister’s Keeper very very much I had resisted it for a long time because I’ve worked 30 years in health care, but my husband brought it home for me once. Intriguing story, keeps you wondering till the very end where she has a genius of a twist
I would like to know that too

Then why did you continue to read them? If I don’t like an author I just move on.
Life’s too short to hate read! Too many wonderful authors out there
Pact or my sister’s keeper
A few of my favorites were 19 Minutes, The Pact, The Storyteller and Cider House Rules. I didn’t particularly care for Keeping Faith.
@Aileen Cider House Rules was written by John Irving
@Dawn oops House Rules. Sorry for the confusion.
@Aileen no prob

Maybe give her a go and make up your own mind about her.
I just can’t read her, I read to relax and her books are not a relaxing read for me. Good luck, enjoy which book you choose.

One author I keep trying to like because she has so many fans but I just can’t. I dislike her choice of topics which are straight from whatever is currently in the news and find her writing like chalk on a blackboard only worse. But that’s just me.
