Most of his books are decent and super fun to read. But if you want a King book that’s not like typical “King” read The Eye of the Dragon.

It doesn’t matter with him, I’ve seen all of his movies andread a ton of his books. I read Cujo (when I was like 12, 1st King Novel) movie didn’t matter!

Misery is a fantastic read – not horror but very psychological and scary. Delores Colburn (I hope I got that right) is also good.
For his horror Carrie, Christine, IT, and Salem’s Lot are my top (but all good).

The Stand is amazing, if you wanna be scared tho I recommend IT (omg what horrible supernatural thing is happening right now) or Cujo (omg this is a real thing that could happen :o)

It was legit scary. @_@

Ya listening to IT on audio book was a mistake. There was one scene that shook me up so bad I had to watch cartoons before bed. That was last year when I was 33 years old and I started reading King books in high school and I’m a huge fan of horror books/movies/shows. It was weird to be actually scarred

I’m also trying my first Stephen King book. I’ve heard that ‘The Stand’ and ‘Misery’ are good. I was able to get my hands on ‘The Shining’ and it’s pretty good so far.
