My True Love Gave To Me is a compilation of Christmas/holiday stories from different authors and it has one of my favorites in it. Welcome to Christmas, CA by Kiersten White.

Lots of romance fiction authors release Christmas books but their books seem to be UK releases only as I think USA has only heard of Sophie Kinsella. They all have similar themes. See below link.

“In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash” by Jean Shepherd (1966). It was the basis for the film “A Christmas Story” (1983), which Shepherd also narrated.

Donna VanLiere writes almost strictly Christmas novels; romances topped with human struggles, losses. All in giftbook format and very warm and cozy. Have read them all. Melody Carlson does Christmas stories, Debbie Macomber. Richard Paul Evans has written countless Christmas stories. My fave is a magical little book called Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball, by Donita K.Paul. Greg Kinkaid has a couple that are great, A Dog Named Christmas, made into movie for Hlmk.

Grisham’s Skipping Christmas, especially if the kids are grown.

How Far to Bethlehem? by Norah Lofts. A very human and beautifully written retelling of the Biblical story of Christmas.
