Have you read any of Robert Parker’s westerns? Not my particular cup of tea, but I did enjoy his first, Appaloosa.
Any particular kind of westerns? The only one I’ve read is Wake of Vultures by Lila Bowen, which is a fantasy. I’m always looking for more like it. 🙂
I read a lot of romance westerns back in the day! I’ve been looking for some good westerns recently. I prefer if their is a love interest or if the main character is an antihero but it doesn’t have to be the main story. Any suggestions?
Have you heard of the Holmes on the Range series by Steve Hockensmith? It’s a really good mashup of western and detective stories.
Louis L’Amour and Don Coldsmith are my favorites. My dad had a huge collection of westerns, it is were I get my love of them.
T.V. Olsen, Ernest Haycox, Luke Short, Ray Hogan–yes, I’ve read a few really good ones. I still own about seventy.
Read Louis L’ amour, Zane Grey in the past, one of my all time favorite books is Jim Kane by J.P.S. Brown.
