Based on this I just downloaded book 1. Looks like I have 29 to go if I get hooked. And I probably will.
Yes I’ve read them all, loved the earlier ones, thought he got promoted too high which made the storyline not so easy to work with and I didn’t enjoy them so much but enjoying the more recent ones

Yes I’ve read them all, good reads but I agree with previous comments that the later ones become unrealistic, having a very senior police officer doing the things that Skinner does.

Denzil Meyrick is also worth a read. I’ve binge read all of them this year.
@Janet I think Craig Robertson writes his novels based down your way. Stuart Macbride is Aberdeen and the shire and 3 Dundee based books. He’s very funny

Craig Robertson is great too. Lives in Stirling. T F Muir writes about St Andrews and east Neuk. Love them too. Aren’t we lucky?

Just finished reading the Stuart Macbride books. I absolutely loved them. Logan, Steel and Tufty are brilliant characters.
I’ve read them all. New one out in oct/Nov on pre-order via kindle
Really enjoy them and also Peter Robinson (DCI Banks).
Read most of them but I have to admit the earlier books worked so much better with the role of the main character.
