Look into cozy mysteries. There is a (very good) short lived series about the “League of Literary Ladies” by Kylie Logan. I am betting there are more series similar.

Ellery Adams has a couple such cozy mystery series. Like the already mentioned Secret, book and scone society and then there’s the Book retreat mysteries (the main character belongs to a book club and the other members always help solve the murder – I’m reading these at the moment, and loving them). And she has the Books by the Bay series as well, but that’s about a writers’ group solving murders, not a book club. But still, Ellery Adams is my go-to book club mystery writer. ? But there’s many others. Check any one of the mentioned out on Goodreads and you’ll get recommendations on similar titles. ?

There’s a historical mystery series where a local librarian helps solve murders in a way. She’s often getting herself into some sort of trouble. The Seneca Falls Mystery series by Miriam Grace Monfredo
