@Amy isnt this just the first half though?

1
Amy

@Gemma idk..

It’s a completely different story. It was a decent storyline so I didn’t know whether to be mad or impressed. They changed the story to try and set up a series. The plot and reasoning are even different from the books.

0
Katie

The books are better by far.

1
Katie

Movies never gave you the end.

0
Amanda

@Gemma yeah just the first half. They never finished it and they changed way too much. Read the books but the movies are just ok. The first movie isn’t bad.

Not as good As the hunger games

I disagree. I don’t even know why they were always being compared. Hunger Games wasn’t even an original story and I had to force myself to carry on for Mockingjay. It was very drawn out and boring.

Helen

i found it hard to get involved with divergent, seemed far too many holes in the plot

0
January

Hunger Games stole theirs. Divergent at least explained why the world was the way it was. Hunger Games had no background story, huge hole. What holes was in the Divergent plot because I don’t remember any.

@January, I was just giving my opinion, not looking for an argument

I loved the first book, second book was ok the third I was disappointed. The storyline to me got a little away from the original plot. The movies were bad too different for the movies. As a stand alone the movies were good. I liked the books better.

Yes, the third wasn’t good

I thought the ending was fine. I wasn’t exactly happy about reading the last few chapters however if it had it ended in the other way it would have been a typical story. The ending was unique and it made the movie shocking because I was waiting for the ending and then they completely rewrote the story for the movies. It was like Cujo all over again.
