I liked it! I really felt like it touched on breaking barriers too!
I loved the historical aspect. Also, Matthew and Diana have a very complex relationship, and I loved the connections they made past and present. If you love good descriptive linguistics, and mood setting then it’s a book series for you.

If you’re super smart and like history, this is the series for you. If you like fluff and a plot that moves, Eh, not so much.
I mean, we like what we like but I LOVED it so hard.
YES. There was only one thing I didn’t like in the entire series but it’s a pet peeve that’s not uncommon in books, but that’s also just cause of my own life choices/beliefs etc. Aside from that though the entire series is amazing (I read time’s convert but all the stuff I loved in discovery of witches was absent from time’s convert.) Just be prepared for a wild ride and some serious withdrawals when you finish it.

I was going through a miscarriage when I got to the part when the protagonist miscarries and I put the book down for over a year. When I came back to it I still wasn’t a fan really. Been hesitant to read book three too.

Eh, I couldn’t finish book 2. I got halfway through and I quit. When I have to google entire conversations in another language, that’s too much. I feel like she tried to prove her intellect by putting in all this stuff… language, words I’ve had to google, history… it was all too much and very long winded. I wanted to love it, but it was boring to me.
