It depends. If you like exploring new writers, often self published and will read 5 – 10 books a month then maybe. If you are looking for big names and well known authors not really

For me I enjoy it. It doesn’t have any of the big well know. Authors. However I have many many others that I like and there books are free with the kindle unlimited. I have read 8 within this month so far!

for me yes. I read alot of books but in between waiting for new book releases I’ll check out the works of authors that I haven’t read yet. if I liked the book alot I buy it.

Depends on the type of books you like to read. If you like bestsellers, well known authors and mainstream fiction then it’s probably not worth it. But if you like romance, fantasy, sci-fi, new indie authors, past bestsellers and classics you will find it very useful. Often the first book of a series is free on KU, giving you a chance to decide if the series is worth the investment. That feature alone has saved me so much money!

I use mine all the time AND I put my own book on it. I’ve found some great authors that way.

If you’re poor like me and willing to spend time looking for undiscovered little gems, yes.

Depends on if you like to reread and own your books, if they two things don’t matter and your read more than four books a months then your answer is yes

Yes if you read a decent amount, don’t mind not always having ton of more “famous” new books.

No. There are so many free books sites. Plus the library has a great digital system. I was wasting my $$$.

Depends: do you read for 10$ a month? Otherwise you can just buy for 10$ a month, you might spend less money…

No, I didn’t feel that there was enough I was interested in. I use Overdrive thru my library for free.

It depends on what you read. For me….No. You might want to see if your favorite authors are included. Mine are not. I use the library.

Yes. I’ve had it for about a year in a half. I like discovering new authors. I don’t need to read the best sellers as soon as they come out. If it’s a must have I buy it. But I read 3-5 books a week. So it’s perfect for me.

For me it wasn’t. Couldn’t find many books I wanted to read. I signed up for Bookbub and get daily emails of which kindle books are on sale that day, usually for $1.99. I’ve snagged a lot of great books that way.

Bookbub has been very rewarding.

Kindle unlimited significantly less so

Yes! I have had KU for a few years and love it. It saves money and it’s a nice way to try out books by new indie authors.

If you have Amazon prime they have a prime lending that comes with that at no extra charge. KU is good for people who are avid readers and would read 7 or more books a month. I have my book listed in there. Be careful of supposed free sites.

Honestly no. You’ll end up having to search for really good ones. You might as well just spend the time searching free books on Amazon, since most are on Kindle unlimited anyway, and save the $10 /mo.

I am trying out the deal I got about 2 weeks ago, I think 1.99 for 2 months? Anyways, it’s ok, not as much books as I had hoped that are available in KU. But definitely not signing up for it, for 10 a month, regardless of how much I like it, can’t afford it.

What deal is that?

0
Sarah

For Kindle Unlimited.

1
Jessy

Oh didn’t know they were offering it at that rate for new members. I have had it for a couple years.

0
Sarah

Its temporary, probably to draw in new members.

Jessy

I just seen an ad for it. I didn’t read all of it but I am sure that is what it is for.

I have Kindle Unlimited and I love it. It comes to about $10.50 or so a month when they add on taxes. I have favorite authors I couldn’t find in there because new releases and huge hits aren’t readily available. But, I looked up top kindle unlimited books and downloaded the list and have been burning through it! The list has amazing books in it without having to sort of shop and explore first! I’m finding new authors and new genres I was never into before! Totally worth it for the amount of books I would buy each month in actual paper books!

it varies for me. In January I read about 15 books with KU which would have cost me around $50 if I’d purchased them. In Feb I read 1 and in March I’ve read 2.

For me I love it. I don’t even remember how long I have had it but I use it every month and always find books I love to read on it. I am not one who jumps on new books as soon as they come out…. but if there is one I just have to read that is what my library and OverDrive is for … unless it is one of the series I collect then I am just going to buy it anyway. But, for me I love KU.
