Prime reading library has a much smaller group of books than unlimited, but I think it has some pretty good stuff. If a book becomes popular they usually add and the selection changes once in a while.

Prime is worth it for 2 day shipping and free prime movies. The 1 book a month thing is just a small bonus. Honestly kindle unlimited should just be included with prime.

I agree.. They should include kindle unlimited and Amazon music with prime..

They could at least give a deep discount if you have prime. I would be willing pay a small amount for it but I have never seen any if my favorite authors included.

I think a lot of authors don’t use it because if they put there books in kindle unlimited they can’t sell them anywhere else..

I love Elin Hilderbrand, Sophie Hannah, Leila Meacham, Harlan Coben, Debbie Macomber, Mary Kay Andrews, J.R. Ward, Jojo Moyes, & Kate Morton. I would pay the high price if it included some of them. I would prefer to spend that much money on a library membership. (My county has a terrible outdated library…it’s $85 a year to go to the next county. It’s huge and they have a lot of ebooks also.

It used to be included. That’s why I can’t bring myself to pay for it.

@Linda When was it included? I’ve had both for years and they’ve always been separate. There’s a different thing with Prime where you can borrow certain books.

When I first joined Prime there was no such thing as Kindle Unlimited or Prime Reading. At least, not by name. There was a selection of books you got free just for being part of Prime. I’ve had my first Kindle for almost 10 years. Prime has been in existence since 2005. In 2014 they started charging for KU. It was the same books that were always free for members. The question was ‘Is Kindle Prime any good? It’s wonderful! Kindle Unlimited, not so much. By the way, they never charged for Prime music either. It’s still free. Amazon Music Unlimited is a service they charge for. So confusing.

@Linda Got it! I do actually also pay for Prime Music after trying the premium version for free for a few months, but the the actual free version is still pretty solid! I find it much better than Spotify, Pandora, or Apple – and it’s cheaper. But, I’m really happy with all of my Amazon services. I also read a lot of wonderful indie authors who are on KU, and I also read 5-10 books per week, so for me it’s easily worth it.

Ya, you read a lot! I’d love to know some of the authors you found. I love reading new (to me) authors! What would we do without Amazon??

Makes me order more than I should as we get next day delivery in the UK. I don’t use video or music so will be cancelling when mine runs out in February

I love my Prime and I love my Kindle Unlimited, but it depends on what kind of use you’ll get out of both.

Never heard of Kindle Prime. There’s Prime Reading which from what I hear, you only get a book a month from a list of specific books. Kindle Unlimited lets you read an unlimited amount of books each month from a special list too. I recently cancelled my Kindle Unlimited because I just didn’t use it enough.
