I do every time!!! When I read the Rama series by Arthur C. Clarke, I kid you not for about 2 months I missed the characters as if they were friends that moved away!

I was super sad after finishing How To Stop Time, cause it was such a good story that I wished it didn’t have to end

Me too. Sometimes, as I’m getting closer to the end, I slow my reading so it takes longer to finish.

This is why I either read really long books or several in a series. If it’s a regular sized novel and I really like the characters, I tend to put off the last hour or two of the book for a week or so, just so it won’t end yet.

I’m actually going through this right now! I read & was absolutely blown away by Joyce Carol Oates’ A Book of American Martyrs — over 700 pages & I didn’t want it to end but at the same time felt it ended perfectly. I’m still reading other books but I’m struggling with wanting to find a book that makes me feel the same way!

Sometimes I even need a day or two off from starting a new book to let the loss of the other book sink in and give it the merit it deserves, especially if it was a really good book

I just finished a series and I knew the end was coming but it still left me sad to put the book down. I just wanted a little longer with my new found friends!

Book hangovers are the worst. What’s worse is not wanting a book to end so you’re reading slowly, and accidently end because there is a sneak peek chapter at the end of the book.

Alwaaaays! … I have actually had a few that I wont purposely finish..
because its just too good to end.
So I leave it .. as an open chapter.
bit like life really
And move on.. till I wana know how … it could be.

I get excited, then sad, then excited about the sequel, then nervous the sequel won’t be as good. All in about 2 minutes lol

I finished Inferno this morning. Looked at all my books on my shelves and pouted to my husband I had nothing to read because I was depressed the story ended. I get in a “world” and want to stay there 🙁
I didn’t wanna start a new book and “go somewhere else”
