I don’t like to. I can’t remember the last time I did. Having said that, I am now. Hahaha. I just discovered David Sedaris ( I know, I am behind the times) and I am reading Me Talk Pretty One Day. I am also reading a novel based loosely on Lord Byron’s life, and Ancient Civilization and U.S. History curriculum at the moment.
I sometimes read 3 books at once. Obviously, at different times! Sometimes in different manners too, like reading one book and listening to another’s audiobook.
I read at least 4 at a time. I have a couple on my kindle I read then I have my paperbacks on my nightstand. Then comics and graphic novels in between.
I’m reading several now. I’ve always had a few on the go. It makes the good ones last longer! ? I’m reading “The Outsider” by Stephen King now. It’s way too big to lug around on my way to and from work, so I keep it to read at home, and I carry a small paperback to read on the train and at lunch.
I read up to 4 at a time. I need different books for different moods. I always have an audiobook in the car and usually a few others going at the same time
Yes. I have an audio book for my commute (and sometimes during work), my Nook ereader and a physical book for when I need to give myself a break from looking at a screen.
i read one modern fiction book, one vintage fiction book (usually 1800s or early 1900s), and one nonfiction book at a time. just choose whichever type i feel in that moment it’s nice to be able to switch between them
No, i like reading one book at a time so I don’t mix up the characters. ? I tried so many times before and it is usually a failure on my imagination and I would re-read/listen to each one again.
I do! I have one that I keep in my car for when I get to work a few minutes early or have to wait somewhere it’s always on hand. I have one I keep at home for my night reads!
I start the evening with the Bible. (I’m working at reading the entire book in a year. Some seriously boring stuff in the Old Testament. ???).
After that I’m reading James Clapper’s most recent book, Facts and Fears. Very good. I definitely recommend it.
After I’ve read that for a while and definitely need to get serious about going to sleep, I read some novel. Right now, I’m reading The Hangman’s Daughter. It’s okay. Helps me to settle into sleep.
I have Bulfinch’s mythology to read before bed. I have a Joe Hill novel by my reading chair. I am working through Marcus Aurelius’ meditations on Kindle alternating with book 8(?) of the wizard of oz. I have a book on my phone ‘alien species intervention’and I am ‘re-reading’ red rising on audible… And I’m still trying to get through little dorrit ? keep it up.
I’ve got 3 going right now. It is common for a lot people. 🙂
