The whole point of a book is how people ignore all the problems and fovus on romance. So what if some poor homeless person got killed, the important thing is these two are so cute together!
No way! Hunger Games is much better. The main focus of Twilight is romance. All the problems came due to romance. In Hunger Games, the problems were already there long time ago and MC is not trying to fix it, she’s just trying to survive.
It has a love interest and even a triangle but no love so to speak. No romance scenes over where one tries to save katnis etc but its never written romantically
It’s not really about a romance, I think that was more if a second storyline that sticks out. It’s really more about the government and its draconian leadership of the districts and the subsequent fight to release the downtrodden and show the capital they were a force to be reckoned with…Ooh get me very literary…seriously read the books I was very dismissive of the series thought it want for me till I saw the first film…totally hooked – read the books back to back and chomped at the bit waiting for the remaining films to be released

Hollywood basically did the same thing. The Capitol in the book did. Played up the romance more then necessary instead of focusing on kids killings other kids.
The romance is actually a small part of it. Personally, I was “made” to read it and it wasn’t until I finished all three books in the series before I liked it. I really didn’t enjoy the books as individual entities. With that being said..it’s really an amazing story.

It is an Epic fantasy…not so a “romance”. It dependes on the person’s genre preference I guess…
