They peak my interests. They compel me to pick up said books so I can see if the book itself is as interesting as the cover. I tend to always buy these books in the long run.
Few days ago, I bought “The Bear and the Nightingale” because the cover looked enchanting. I really hope that what’s inside it, will be as magical as the outside.
The Wheel of Time covers kept me from buying them for a long time and finally a friend highly recommended them so I gave them a try. The whole time I was reading the rather lengthy series I was HATING the covers to the point of embarrassment if I had my book in public lol
God Yes. Judging a book by its cover is how I get drawn to them even though I know it’s a bad habit. Some books can be really nice even though their covers are sometimes really bad or cliché.
I’m actually the opposite… most covers turn me off. I tend to try and just focus on the title. If I can throw out a book jacket (without throwing out the entire cover), I will.
YESS!! YASS

Yes-If I see pink or frilly covers-I don’t even bother looking-It’s probably a book I won’t read at all

I like to read the blurb about the book first!
I try not to “judge a book by it’s cover”, but I often do
But sometimes the cover is a good indicator
Me

Of course you’re attracted to covers, that’s the whole point of them. Otherwise books would be plain with just the title and author on the front.
