The book was meh. I will say it’s the only book I’ve ever read that I hated every single character in the book. Not one had any redeeming qualities or attributes.
I didn’t really like the book but I couldn’t get through the movie either. Why would you take a novel by a British author, hire a British actress and then set it the U.S. and have her do an American accent?
I read the book had to finish it just to figure it out and by the end I was just as confused and disappointed at least the movie was easier to follow . Still sucked
