I’m trudging along slowly in “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon. Did anyone else have that problem?

Which edition did you read Sarah? I have the 20th hard back plush edition so it’s a big book

Sarah

I couldn’t tell you honestly. I’ve reread the book multiple times and have to replace it a few times as well.

I gave my first book that was paperback i think to a friend of mine. Then I picked up and tried from the library the same version I have. Then I got my own edition that came with the cd to it.

What i’m interested in is how well she did her research on each segment. What got me is how Enterainment weekly gave me is little snippets of the episodes so i’m stuck waiting on getting to watch 7 but i have all but that and 12

I picked it up at least 5 times and could only get so far. Then I watched the first season of the show and made it a point to finally read it.
I absolutely loved it and read them all in the span of 6 months.
That first one was slow at first.

I definitely remember thinking “what the heck is the fuss with this book??!”
And the entire vase part bored me to death. ?

lmao you should’ve seen the tv show because the first to second episode was on that

0
Ashley

Yeah I did but before watching the show I dredged through the vase part 4 times. ?
I guess seeing the characters helped understand because I know in my mind I had Clair pegged almost elderly. I’m not sure why.

Yes. I liked the story but found myself flipping through pages that said the same thing. I made it through 4 books. Now I love the show but won’t go back to the books. Unpopular opinion but ….
