It has been several years since I read them, but I loved them at the time. I want to re-read them in the next couple years and hope they hold up. Enjoy, they are a lot of fun.

I read the first one. It was OK. It’s one of those books that I would read if I had nothing else to read. Not bad but not eager to read the next one either.

I recently read the first book in the series and I thought that it was surprisingly good. There are things in the book that will be familiar from reading similar books but it still has some interesting twists and turns. I would recommend it!

2
Reply
Hannah

@Raman I enjoyed the movie, just as much as the book! I wish they’d carried on and made the other books into movies.

2
Jessica

@Raman imo that movie was horrendous! Very very juvenile ?

0
Hannah

I think the movie was better than the book! The first book bored me ?. They get better but book 2 is my least favourite and then book 1.

0
Jessica

@Hannah after reading book four it seemed more adult to me, then watching the movie I thought they just portrayed it so child like maybe? Definitely agree the first few books are not nearly as good at the last few!

1

Rachel

@Mahnoor 6 I believe

2
Danesha

6 Vampire Academy, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound , and Last Sacrifice.
Its spin off is the Bloodlines series which also has 6 books: Bloodlines, The Golden Lily, The Indigo Spell, The Fiery Heart, Silver Shadows, and The Ruby Circle.

2
Rachel

@Danesha what’s bloodlines like if you’ve read it? I’m currently on the last sacrifice so wondering whether or not to start bloodlines.

1
Danesha

Rachel Louise Stevie Bloodlines is told from Sydney’s POV. It focuses on a mission the Alchemists give her about the smallest royal family (trying not to spoil for those who haven’t read either) She comes face to face with several characters we know and love. She enrolls at a boarding school incognito for her mission.

Mahnoor

@Rachel @Danesha thank you both ?

Elena

Stopped after book 2, boring as hell ?

I have read every single one of them. And I believe it was worth it! Don’t let others talk you out of it. There are a lot of books to the series but each one is just as good as the next. A definite yes for me!
