I’m half way through the second book. I absolutely devoured the first book!! The second one was really political, so it’s a bit slower to get going, but I’m really enjoying them overall

I’m about 3/4 done the 4th one now. I love them but they are sometimes tough to get through. Mainly because of how long they are. But also sometimes they are bogged down with so many details. But I LOVE the characters and the storylines.

They’re a great series. They wax and wane a little bit, but absolutely gripping storyline. I still haven’t finished them all. 🙁

I enjoyed it! I stopped only when I ran out of books. I read them back when I was 16/17 y/o, which was about 10 years ago so not all of the books were out.

The books are HUGE, but so worth reading! I did have to take breaks sometimes when they started feeling too heavy, but the storyline is beyond good enough to keep my interest and pull me back.

Love them they are book crack for me. Drag in a few places, but I love the characters so much, hanging out with them is the best. Also love the side books, LJG and Scottish Prisoner.

I am reading the first book, outlander. It is really nice so far. Beautifully written and very well described. If you like good quality romance then this book is it!

The first book was good. The rest, meh. IMO, they are glorified bodice rippers. But, again just my opinion, the author’s dependence on sex and violence diminishes the story flow. Indeed, the story bogs down frequently. I am not a prude, I enjoy a racy bit of reading, but in this series I find myself rolling my eyes in a “here we go again” attitude. Just how I feel. If you read the series, I wish you many enjoyable hours.

in one book it took like 10 pages just to bury a guy. I couldn’t… lol I agree with you completely. Had to stop

It’s a great series. The characters and the settings are fabulous!
Each book is quite long. I’m half way through book 6. Sometimes I find a need a break, but I always come back to find out what’s happening.

Love! I am currently reading book 5. I am obsessed with the book series as well as the show on Starz. It is historical fiction, romance, sci-fi, action/adventure, and extraordinary really well-written. It’s a phenomenal series.
