I don’t do this EVERYTIME I sit down to read, but on my days off or sometimes when I get off work I love to light a candle, turn my fairy lights on, make a nice cup of tea or get some soda and read under my nice comfy blanket ❤
@Jenn What helps me a lot is setting a day goal. Basically I have to read to a certain page by the end of the day. Once I complete it I can do everything else that I had planned. Also having a little routine like some mentioned on this post can help you get motivated to read.
I read every night in bed before I go to sleep. I read a couple of hrs each night. Sometimes I do some reading during the day but as often as I use to.
Lately I’ve been reading just before going to sleep. I have sleep insomnia and so its been helping me. Its perfect because the story is still fresh in my head when I finally drift off
I don’t have a routine, I read all the time. I’d rather read than watch tv. I also read on my breaks at work; I take my book everywhere just in case I get a chance to read, even if it’s a paragraph or a page.
I luckily get a couple of chapters in when my baby naps, I don’t read before I sleep as I’m usually so exhausted that I don’t actually take in what I’m reading haha.
I take my kindle with me all the time (even when I go to a cerimony) just in case I have a spare moment or two. Plus I love reading at night when it’s so quiet and my immagination can run wild.
Anytime i can lol. No but usually on weekends when my son is doing his own thing (video games after chores) and at night or anytime during the day i have some downtime
I try to read at least a chapter before bed. Typically I read for about 2 hours before bed, but we have been painting our entire condo interior the past two weeks, so reading has been few and far between.
These days it’s when the mood overcomes me and I’ll find a comfortable place, with a book in one hand and coffee in the other. But I always have a book near to hand, whether at home or away.
I read every night without fail. Even if it’s just for a few minutes. But I always take my kindle with me or have my ebook downloaded on my phone in case I have to do any waiting anywhere.
Depends. During dinner its fix my plate get a cold drink, sit up to the table chest resting on the table(so I don’t spill all over) open boom and vala. Tub is the same thing really but switch fixing a plate to fixing my water??
My routine is in bed by 9:00, read for one hour (or until I get sleepy) and lights out by 10:00. I look forward to reading time and it really helps me get good sleep.

I don’t know any good ones
My routine: Get jammies on, crawl into bed, scrunch up the pillows just right, pray that I didn’t drop my book under the bed the night before.
if it’s during the day on the couch with coffee. at night it’s with jammies in bed propped against 3 pillows and some green tea and a snack
That’s me too! Haha. And green tea at night lol

I stop watching tv at 10pm and go to bed to read for 2 hrs. I have my salt lamp and Spotify playing.

I do most of my reading 1-2 hours before bed on weekdays and spend most of the weekend reading.
In bed, in the loo, in the train, wherever, whenever…. ?

I love making myself a tea before reading. Sometimes, a coffee, especially if it’s the afternoon. It just puts me in the mood and calms me.
