True Detective is very good, but I imagine you’ve seen it 🙂

I have not.

Oooh! Give it a go. The first series is spectacularly good, then the second is very different but if you can’t get into it go back to it as it’s brilliant too, just not if you’ve got the first in your head (if that makes sense!)

Chazzer

Wallander is also good, very un-actiony though, and British made from a Swedish author so not American in any way – it’s a quiet crime drama with stunning views of Sweden 🙂

Hap and Leonard, 1st season of True Detective, seasons 1 & 2 of Hannibal, Prime Suspect 1973–aka Prime Suspect: Tennison, and Better Call Saul (which, surprisingly, I think is better than Breaking Bad).

The Sinner, an 8 part series on Netflix, starring Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman (as a wonderfully grizzled ageing detective). More whydunnit than whodunnit but for me, compelling stuff.
