I’m on Chapter 5 in Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor but I don’t think I enjoyed it, I really got confused on the system. Does it get any better?

I still haven’t read it. But i get what you’re saying. It’s normal for some people to get confused if they’re reading it for the first time especially a fictional fantasy, scifi or dysoptian books. For me it’s like reading a chemistry book which is confusing and complicated but the more I read it the more I get the hang of it.

Strange the Dreamer is epic! It begins a little slow and the word is complex but Laini never loses her characters. They continue to strengthen and grow and everything comes together and flows so expertly in the sequel Muse of Nightmares. Don’t forget to take the character quiz on her website. It might help

I listened to it on audio and at first I was like “what is happening??” but I’m glad I stuck with it because the last half or more is really good.

This took a while for me to get into. But I really liked it. It’s written in a kind of rambling lyrical verse. But it’s really really good.

@Michaela yeah she definitely prose rambles more in STD than she did in Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I think she was given a green light after she became a best seller and then the gloves came off and her prose hands came to life lol
