Sarah j mass got me out of a book slump when I hadn’t read for like literally a year. She has strong female protagonists who show the world that women can take the lead and I personally love how many different pov’s she tells the stories from. I started reading her throne of glass series and legit locked myself inside my room until I’d finished all the books. Both her series, throne of glass and a court of thorns and roses, are amazing and got me back into reading again ❤️

Excerpt from Destiny Revealed, book one of the fantasy series The Destiny Trilogy, available on amazon at https://goo.gl/8CcjPG The twins fell to their knees and wrapped their arms around each other. Tears ran down Maddie’s cheeks, and Jack’s whole body shook. The huge eagle landed a few feet in front of them, its screeching causing a sharp pain in Jack and Maddie’s ears. Connie got to her feet, and she and Bennie ran toward the twins who were now standing to face their attacker. The twins held hands as the dinosaur-sized bird let out a tremendous squawk. They pulled closer together so that their heads touched. A bright, golden light emanated from the twins, and as Connie and Benny ran closer, they were forced to stop and shield their eyes. The golden light encircled Jack and Maddie, and when the bird moved in to swallow them in its great beak, a blinding flash split the darkness and the eagle vaporized. The wind stopped instantly and the bright blue sky returned. The twins had fallen to the ground, and Connie began to go to them. Benny grabbed her arm. “This is a power I’ve never seen,” he said. “I’ll take care of them; I need you to go to Stanton and tell him what just happened. These two may be beyond my teaching skills.”
