I’m not sure of the response I will get, but I’m currently reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Has anyone else read it and what did you think?

Read them all only because everybody said they were SO great. Couldn’t enjoy them. Felt very uncomfortable because it just glamorized abuse of a women. Just my opinion. No offence to those that enjoyed it.

Didn’t read them after I found out what they were about-can’t stand anything that is violent or hurts people in movies or books-don’t get to see many movies these days!!

I read all 3 just to see what all the hype was about. I wouldn’t read them again. I found it repetitive and the same phrases used over and over. Call me crazy, but I did not like Christian Grey.

I read them and I loved them. I also watched the movie. I agree it has to be your kind of genre. It is mine. So I hope you like them if you like that kind of read. Good luck..☺

I read all 3 and was happy how it ended! A lot of people use gadgets and other things behind closed doors! It’s not unique in any way! I love a love story!

I’ve read the entire trilogy. Once you get passed the contract, it has a real story.

I have read them and liked them, just didn’t think they were very well written. This was one time when I thought the movie was better than the books. The movie was more about the romance and not so much about the sex. It does leave you hanging waiting for the next movie. If you like that type of books, Quantum Trilogy by M.S. Force is a better read.

I would probably have loved sneaking around reading these books when I was a teenager, when my mother might not have approved. I have no interest whatsoever in them at this point in my life.

I’m almost done with the first book. I wouldn’t rate it as a must read, but it is definitely leaving an impression on me. Opened my eyes so to speak.

Don’t get me wrong i actually liked the story and as someone else said it opened my eyes too, and I also love reading some crazy smut at times. I just thought the author was terrible at writing, I’m no writer at all however when you write the word clamber, clambered, clambering 50 times in a book, it started to eerk me. Where was her therasaus? Lol

I agree A’ndrea, I like the occasional erotica myself. But this author may have had it in her head right, just didn’t translate on paper very well

I can’t read this book. Mom would not let me read it. If I read it, I would be in a heap of trouble. Sorry about that. I wouldn’t hear the end of it from my mom. It’s not allowed in the house. My sister has the book. My sister told me not to read it. I prefer to read good clean books. Never will try to read this book ever.

I read all three and I guess they made me uncomfortable because I have never laughed so hard in my life. My mom, ( yes, my mom read them) told me about them after she finished. She was going on and on about them being porn but she wanted to read all three because she had purchased all three before she read them. So I bought the first one and was so doubled over laughing just picturing my fine Christian mamma reading them. As the books moved on I hated them. I mean who in their mind does stuff like that and it on page after page. I got where I would skim. I would not waste your money.

It’s not for everyone.I, myself haven’t read them but I know people who have and they pretty much agree with everyone here.I wouldn’t judge anyone who has read them.I know in my 50 years of life, I have read some risk ay books!
