I just gave up on Bring Me Back. I was so bored and tired of the cliches. But I enjoyed The Breakdown and mostly enjoyed Behind Closed Doors.

I read behind closed doors and really enjoyed it untill the end. Stupid ending.. and now just finished bring me back and again the ending just made me roll my eyes.

Exactly how I felt with behind closed doors. Now I feel justified in putting this one down!

@Megan. You should find out how it ends so you can eye roll too. Sometimes when an author is trying to hard its just lost on me 🙁

I thought the entire book was ridiculous (Behind closed doors)…not bothering to ever read another by this author

I was disappointed in Bring Me Back as well. Just finished it two days ago ?

Me too! I was so excited to get an early copy of Bring Me Back and I was so disappointed in it.

I am SO happy to find someone else who thought Behind Closed Doors was ridiculous. Like…you mean to tell me that he held you hostage over 6 months by threatening your sister while you were in PUBLIC you couldnt scream out? I just dont believe any of it. Silly really. And the characters were very inconsistent I felt.

@Tina i finished it and posted this comment haha

@Chrissy me too! I was like seriously!? This is the dumbest ending to a book. You’re so in love with someone but can’t tell who the person is? And why would you stir up the past? Total waste of time. ??‍♀️??‍♀️

@Cassi couldn’t agree with you more !

I loved Behind Closed Doors but I wasn’t sure I would like Bring Me Back. At first I was confused when reading Behind Closed Doors because of the jumping around, the end was a bit of a disappointment because you knew throughout the book that someone knew what was going on. After reading your thoughts I am nervous about reading others of hers.

I’m soooo glad someone feels the same way I do! Bring Me Back was completely ridiculous. I got an ARC and was seriously the only one giving it a bad review. I’m like maybe it just me? ??‍♀️??‍♀️

I had an ARC of Bring Me Back as well. It was just interesting enough to finish, but that’s about it. It ended up being predictable and rather unbelievable at the end.
And seriously…. how many times does one need to use the word toilet? It felt like every other sentence in that first chapter contained that word.

That’s how I felt in the ACOTAR series… People ‘vomiting’ left and right ?

100% unbelievable. ??‍♀️ you love someone soooo much but can’t tell who she is literally right in front of your face!? Give me a break.

Kimberly

Exactly!!! How flipping clueless can one be? Especially the love of his life?

Cassi

YESSS! And why after you did all that, YOU would start bringing up the past and sending little dolls ? I seriously talked out loud while reading this ridiculous book. My husband would say “I’m glad I’m not reading that book” ???‍♀️

Lol, I dislike overused words. I used to read Lisa Jackson and everything was “macabre”.

I didn’t hate it…this is my goodreads review: This was a real page turner and I had 1000 guesses…and then it kinda fell flat. My guesses were better twists!

But it was a short fast read that was really compelling and I overall enjoyed it.

Bring me back was the only one I actually liked. The other 2 I didn’t get why people loved them. The Breakdown reminded me of a lifetime movie that’s been done to death ???
