Throne of Glass or a court of thorns and roses by Sarah J Maas are both very good as well. If you do read them start with Throne. It doesn’t move as fast as court, but it’s amazing.

Check out Mercedes Lackey. She’s got a ton of wonderful series to read. My favorite being the Arrows Fall trilogy and the Black Gryphon trilogy.

You’ll not run out of books to read for a long, long time if you get into Mercedes Lackey.

That is amazing. I can never have enough books to read! Lol

0
Madison

Yup. She’s got a ton of great books and I love her writing style. She’s been a favorite for many years.

If you like darker fantasy type stuff, try Alice Borchadt. She’s sister to Anne Rice and she’s got a very grungy and almost vicious style. Her Silver Wolf trilogy and her Qwynevere books are interesting, but a bit harder to read.

“Shannara” series by Terry Brooks (DO NOT WATCH THE SERIES FOR THE LOVE OF ODIN) and Simon R Greens “Nightside”. The former is thick LOTR style and length. The later is more quick reads but both enjoyable

I recently read a Secrets trilogy by Leanne Wood. A great family saga that starts in Australia in the early 1900s. The first book, Pages of your life is about a woman, the 2nd and 3rd books go into the following generations and how her secrets impact on them. All her books have great characters and twists. I found them extremely enjoyable.

@Trista, they were great and I just read her latest that was a thriller / suspense called Torment. It was about a woman who takes revenge. Definitely a page turner that got more intense. Good luck, there are so many great books out there.

I would highly encourage the Stormlight series by Brandon Sanderson. It has to be the best fantasy series I have ever read. Sanderson’s storytelling combined with his world building makes you feel as if you are reading an historical fiction novel from another world! Book three comes out on Nov. 14! I cannot wait!
