Any specific genre she is interested in?

I’m not sure. Definitely fiction.

@Tiffany if you want to introduce her to fantasy, A Darkness Awakens by @Helena is a great book. I was not the biggest fan of fantasy until I read this. It’s Y.A. so nothing in there she shouldn’t read/see at her age.

*shameless plug* I have the first of my fantasy adventure trilogy available. It’s about Viviana, a lord’s daughter, with the ability to heal and manipulate fire. She has to figure out how to control her ever growing powers before she hurts or even kills someone she loves. As civil war lingers in the air, she must travel from her land to seak help and find out what she truly is. Check it out at https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LYJ1MQ3/ref=tmm_kin_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1531530458&sr=8-5

I am also going to shamelessly plug mine with the warning that there are some horror elements that show up later in the book, so if that’s not her thing, then maybe skip it. 😀 https://www.books2read.com/b/3ne67e

The Sisters Grim series by Michael Buckley. Start with the first one so if she likes it, she can read the rest of the series. The Mighty Miss Malone by Christopher Paul Curtis. The 39 clues books (several authors).

She should be able to handle the vocabulary, but why not ‘A Confederacy of Dunces.’ Or ‘Profiles in Courage,’ or if she looking for something a bit off beat for a teenager, try Damon Runyon’s ‘Guys and Dolls, and Other Stories.’
