Great post Rachel saving it for future reading list….my fav To Kill mockingbird – had most fantastic English teacher in high school that brought book to life for us n did whole series on Black history with us – another we read was Black Like Me – true story man that dyed his skin & wrote of his experience

So many great ones! I really love the diversity and I’ve added a few to my TBR list that I hadn’t read before. My personal fave is P&P by Austen but I think it has more to do with the fact that it was the first classic I ever read and Elizabeth Bennet is my spirit animal!

Black Beauty ♥️ I have so many copies of it, including a first edition. I love it. Not sure if it counts as a “classic” since I never see it anywhere on posts and stuff like this but it’s a classic to me. Watership Down is my next favorite.
