I haven’t read Go Set a Watchman yet because I love TKAMB so much and I’m afraid my opinion will change after Go Set a Watchman.

My opinion of TKAM didn’t change after reading Watchman. I thought it was a good story. It suffered from too many comparisons to Mockingbird, and critics seemed to forget it was written first and rejected by publishers. I loved the underlying theme of how the father/daughter relationship changes when the daughter grows up.

It didn’t change my opinion. It just really wasn’t that great in my eyes.

Go Set A Watchman was the book Harper Lee never wanted published that she actually wrote first. It takes place years after TKAM.

We read for our Bookclub and then we read Go Set A watchman. I loved it as an adult didn’t get much out of it when I was forced to read for school

I read it a few months ago. It was a good book. Not the mind blowing classic I expected, but still good. I think, for its time, it was an astounding book – but we’ve moved on (somewhat) as a nation.

I read it in school and I remember loving it then. It’d be interesting to re-read it now as an adult and see if I still felt the same.
