There are some good documentaries on Netflix. Also, if you have Kindle Unlimited, there are a ton of stories written by Holocaust survivors. I’m also very interested in this subject. It’s interesting to read about how humans can be so cruel because I have never been able to understand that side of human nature. And then to read about those who could withstand and survive the cruelty, those who had deep courage and bravery, etc… it’s so inspiring.

I loved Sarah’s Key. I also enjoyed the Book Thief. There are quite a few on this list that I have not read so I had better get clicking.

I visited the Jewish Museum a few months ago. It was harrowing, but fascinating. You are right Kayla – how did people manage to survive such atrocity? Certainly inspirational.

I recently bought on Amazon the 1970’s TV series, ‘Holocaust’ starring Meryl Streep and James D Woods.
It’s incredible and watching it back then as a teenager I began to understand how this systematic, industrialised genocide was planned years before the Second World War by brainwashing an entire continent that Jews were the cause of everything bad. Tragically, this is now happening again and I think this series should be compulsory viewing as a warning against the evils of all prejudice and racial hatred.
