The movies were great, but the books have so much more going on than what the movies could show. If you enjoyed the movies, I believe that you shall enjoy the books even more.

Now… I enjoyed the books and respect Rowling greatly, but her writing can be a bit clunky at times… definitely children’s books… I prefer the films!

Books, for sure! Not just all the details, but also JK Rowling’s writing style!

Well, the books obviously, but the movies are great too. I love to see the artistical freedom they took with some things. Same way I feel about Peter Jackson’s Tolkien movies. I just sit back and enjoy the amazing fan-art on the screen and always have the books to go back to.

While they both tell the same story, they are also both special in their own ways. The details in the books can’t be touched, but the cinematography and connection between the actors are visually magical. Enjoy the journey!!!

Books are better of course but the movies differ so much that at some points I almost viewed them as two separate stories.

Books! You will be surprised by how much was left out of at least the Prisoner of Azkaban movie. Each book got longer so there is definitely a lot of background information you don’t get in the movies.

Books and really really there is no comparison! I am glad I got to watch them before reading I was able to enjoy it without knowing what I was a missing. But really the movies are like almost the cliff notes version of the books. If you liked the movies you will LOVE the books.

I mean book by far-but the way I look at Harry Potter is that they are two different things entirely. I enjoy the movies-I adore the books-but I don’t compare them. I can still read the books and picture the Harry I pictured-not Danielle Radcliffe.

Books for sure. But the more of the series you get into, the more angry you’re going to be because the movie has left a lot of details, even the small, irrelevant ones. It’s annoying! But I hope you enjoy the books anyway! 🙂

They compliment each other.
They are two different media. Are the Yosemite photographs of Ansel Adams less than seeing those same scenes yourself? Appreciate each for the artistry.
