I bought a Paperwhite because it’s just for reading. I don’t want or need other distractions like apps, games, and internet access when I’m reading, that’s what my phone is for lol

I got the Oasis and it was the best decision for me. It had all the perks I wanted. I got my husband and I fire tablets when they first came out and they are also great.

I love my Paperwhite. Great for outdoor reading and I don’t get distracted by all the apps you can have on a fire

Ok, so with the Paperwhite…which generation? 6″ or bigger?

@Jill I suggest the current Paperwhite. It has an expanded storage and is waterproof. The screen also lays flat against the bezels vs sunken, which collects grime.

What @Kathryn said LOL

Any paperwhite is good – I just got the newest one & it is not much different than my older one. Just make sure it is backlit. If you get the one with the advertisements which I always do as cheaper – it’s no big deal – I never notice them. Both of mine are 6”. I bought a new one to pass my old one on to my daughter.

@Ayla what is this “Whispersync” you speak of??

@Jill ok so I also use a lot of audiobooks when I drive and it’s the most wonderful thing because say I’m getting to a really good part in the book I’m reading and I also have the audio version. I can bookmark it in my kindle. And once I start the audiobook it will automatically sync up to where I left off in the book. It’s a huge lifesaver. So I do t have to spend 20 minutes trying to figure out where I was at. And also when I stop listening to the audiobook and go back to reading, the page will automatically sync up to where I last left off in the audio.

@Ayla OH MY GATOS! That is absolutely brilliant! I’m definitely into that, thank you SO MUCH ?
