When driving, cleaning house, sewing or gardening I listen to audiobooks. When I have downtime I use the e-book. Consequently, most books for me today are audio.

Real books!
That said, mine are all packed ? so I’ve got the Kindle out today. Great for review books or 99p bargain but you still can’t beat a proper book. X

I prefer actual books. Audiobooks are great while I’m driving or grocery shopping. Ebooks are my least favorite. My eyes get tired a lot faster with them.

Kindle or ebook first, then paper back ( so I can read in the tub) it’s been years since I got a non electronic book, I don’t think I have ever listened to a full audiobook. I just have a hard time taking them in that way.

Prefer reading a book.

I don’t mind ebooks, and have listened to an audiobook, but I am not sure what to do while I listen! With the one I listened to, I also read the book!

audio is a problem as i don’t like ear phones which limits when and where i can use them. I like a paper book for reading in bed but happy with paper or computer the rest of the time.

It all depends on the circumstances…
If I have to cook or clean the kitchen.. my hands can’t hold a book, but my ears are available!!
If I’m in the pool in bright sunlight.. a book will be to bright and drops of water will do damage..but my kindle can handle all of that!
To remember a story I like to see a book.. so even if I’ve listened to it or read it as an ebook or borrowed it.. I like to have a paper copy on my shelves ..

Real books are my preference. Audio books are my least favorite. I have a difficult time concentrating on them for some reason. It kind of turns into Charlie Brown noise in my head.

I have a problem sometimes of holding a book open because of a hand problem. I just read The Rosie Project – the book was given to me. It was difficult to keep it open – it was bound and glued so tight. This is why the Kindle for me is so ideal. I read all my cheapo and free books on the Kindle. I have a monthly credit with Audible since 2011 and use it for books that are expensive on the Kindle. Audible on the move and Kindle when relaxing.

book, then e-book. But it also depends on where I am. If at home, a book. If I’m out or in the bathtub, an e-book is less cumbersome

I tend to be really busy, so if my hands are busy but it’s noting that needs focus I listen to audio books. Otherwise I much rather sit and read.

Book, then audiobook, then ebook. Currently, all I have to read ebooks on is my phone and Kindle Fire and after a while, I get headaches from, I’m guessing, the lights of the screen? Trying to talk hubby into getting me a Paperwhite, so maybe then my answer will be different.

Thank you everyone! Since my books are available on Amazon and on Kindle and the first one is about to become available on Audible, I was wondering what everyone thought. Also, I want to convince my husband that it is worth putting my other books on audible (the cost of doing so is pretty high for an indie author to hire a voice actor through ACX) even if I never make a profit because the desire for every author is to have readers read your book, it’s not about the money. Anyway, the first one, The Tin Box Secret, comes out this month and we will see how it goes. I read an interesting blog about audible books being the future of publilshing.
