Tammy not trying to get in your business but check out http://thriftbooks.com/ they have really good prices on used books and all the ones I have bought have been in excellent condition and you can get free shipping if you spend a certain amount, i completely understand your money situation. Just a thought for you in the future.

Tammy

@Ginger Most of the good book deals I get on Amazon come in from Thrift Books, so I’m going to start going directly to the site as soon as I can loosen my belt, financially.

I cannot answer that. I rarely go into a book shop for a certain book (unless it’s a new release from an author I love, like Robert Galbraith) – usually I go in and see which one calls to me from the shelves ?

Megan

Exactly!

1
Katrina

@Megan Glad I’m not alone in that 🙂 (y)

Part of the fun of the bookstore for me is browsing among all the wonderful books. I could spend hours just discovering new authors and titles. ?

1
Katrina

Definitely – I actually used to work in a bookshop until the end of September last year (I was made redundant – it broke my heart) and, even though I worked there, I loved buying books from there – I certainly made good use of the 30% staff discount for the three years I worked there 😀

The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith/J. K. Rowlings. I fell in love with the first book of her Cormoran Strike series and I bought the third recently but haven’t been able to find the second one.

Ohhhh I read all 3. They’re so good. I really liked the 3rd one a lot. Where do you live? Sorry I’m curious why you can’t find the second one…

0
Germaine

Panama. Very limited access to books in English. Having them mailed is expensive. So it becomes a joyful occasion when I find books I’ve been wanting for a while. Even so, I’ve managed to build quite a big TBR.

1
Germaine

I sometimes get a few good ones at the library. Some can be swapped.

The Labyrinth of Spirits is a fiction novel by Spanish author Carlos Ruiz Zafón. This is the fourth and final book in the Cemetery of Forgotten books series. I cant freaking wait to get it ??
