@Kar-Leigh For me, this is the most alluring thing about being described by a great author, revealing hidden layers or discovering things we sometimes don’t even notice about ourselves
@Aline YES! The Roundhouse is amazing. CW: plot centers around a sexual assault. She is a Native American author (I’m not certain what tribe) and I really love the perspective that brings. I’m partway through Future Home of the Living God and it is also amazing. It is a specultive fiction/dystopian story.
Celeste Ng because she not only describes her characters so amazingly. She not only captures their spirit and personality but she also humanizes them so the reader can seem themselves in them or the people around them.
Margaret Atwood
she’d do the best at describing all my awkward flaws and things I hope people don’t notice that I do

Louis Erdrich because my mind is blown by her beautiful prose. Also she is a role model of mine. Love this question!
Thank you, @Sarah! I don’t know this author, can you recommend me one of her books, please?

Neil Gaiman, because I’m a bit of a weirdo and so’s he. ?
