The Wall…

As someone currently suffering from the loss of use in a hand (temp) I know what it is like. Beyond that there are the other things to consider.

1: if you are stealing and ridking the loss of a hand your prospects are already bleak. Without noth hands you are truly well and fucked..

2. No antibiotics means the wound eill likely fester and kill you anyway. Historically speaking the overwhelminf majority of people with such injuries died. There is no reason to assume I would be a statistical anomaly.

3. If I am stealing chances are I am already pretty rough off and lowborn. I see peoplr mentioning freedom but given the context of a feudal society is patentedly ridiculous because you are not free in such a society and do not hsbe autonamy in the same way you do today. So life stands to improve in some ways.
