It took me a few chapters to get into but I loved it. Beautifully written. I’ve not read much fiction that portrays the side of a nazi so found that insight really interesting. Enjoy!
I really liked it. It is beautifully written but I found it at times slow and the author’s style of writing (very descriptive at times) made me feel the story moved a bit slow. I’m so glad I stuck with it though because it is a great book. Prior to reading this book, I had just finished Ronald Balson’s Karolina’s Twins (also a WWII era book) which I LOVED.
Sigh…. not my kind of book but it was our Book Club read for April, so I forced myself to read it… OK enough but I’ll never get back the hours lost reading it!
