I know the feeling.. I started a book and couldn’t get into it.. Gonna try again later.. I think it depends on how much I liked the book I finished.. I wanted those to go on.. So had to stop..

I don’t know if 1984 is considered a classic but it is an amazing read.
In case not, I highly suggest The Brothers Karamazov, To Kill A Mockingbird, and Madame Bovary
I love Anthony Trollope’s Barchester Chronicles.
Gulliver’s Travels, The Invisible Man (not the H.G. Wells version). D.H. Lawrence, Willa Cather, Edith Wharton, James Baldwin, Henry James.
I found Alexander Dumas ( Count of Monty Criso) and the Bronte Sisters books very enjoyable (Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre)
