They were easy reads that had some interesting items. Not the best written but were a fun read

I absolutely loved the books! It definitely takes you back to intense highschool love.. The movies were pretty good though, they followed the books fairly well.. Worth the read
They are poorly written imo. Movies slightly better if u can get over Kristin Stewart.

@Amanda I am a HUGE fan of Charlaine Harris’ True Blood books. Everything else pales in comparison for me. So you have to take my opinion knowing that.

I found them very addictive. I agree it is not a masterpiece but yet they were my guilty pleasure and I enjoyed them. I prefer the books over the movies.
If you like the movies you will like the books. They’re easy reads. Obviously they go a bit more in depth than the movies.

Read the first one years ago and loved it. I was in a romantic fog but outgrown them. Easy to read. Go and enjoy. Love Sarah J Maas too
Other high school/YA vampire books that I would recommend are the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, the Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine, and the House of Night series by PC & Kristin Cast.

Yes they are much better I mean I liked the movies but the books have all the information and movies had as much as they could put in the movies.

Not that they were great, but I managed to read all the books while I had to call it quits on the movies early on.
I really enjoyed the books. I was extremely disappointed by the movies, but felt the need to watch them anyway

I thought the books were okay, although I stopped at near the end of Eclipse. I hated Bella’s character in both the books and the movies, because she’s weak and whiny. Plus, the men in her life (Edward and Jacob) are real jerks.
I like that the books go in to better detail.

Books are way better. Also if you go to Stephanie Meyers fan page there is part of “Midnight Sun” . Which is told from Edward’s Point of view. The book will never be released however. ( Which for me ticks me off just a little bit)

I was in my fifties when I read the books. I was not interested at all until someone I respect told me they loved them. I then saw the movies ?. I don’t know that I would have enjoyed either one if I had read/ watched in a close time period.

I like them. They are often in my reread pile. Easy read for flights and such, can open anywhere and read away. Much prefer the books to the movie..

Literacy genius it’s not but I read them and enjoyed them just don’t analyse ???? (who goes off into the woods with someone you suspect is a vampire???) Better than the movies because no wooden unemotive Kristen Stewart. Like any other book make a start, if not your cup of tea charity shop ?
