The Reckoners Series by Brandon Sanderson is not really dystopian, but is a really good take on the super hero/villain concept

“Slated”!! if you loved hunger games+divergent you’ll love slated. it’s genius, i couldn’t stop reading.
I also loved “Legend”, maybe more than the hunger games and divergent.
There’s also “the giver” and “1984” and “brave new world”

My favorite dystopian series is the Pure series by Julianna Baggott. It can get kind detailed and a lot of the characters have a deformities, so if you can get passed that, I highly recommend it!

No problem!…a few more that I like…A great and terrible beauty by Libya Bray (fantasy-trilogy) and Fallen by Lauren Kate (fantasy-series).

Laura

@Breeonna cool! Thanks! I’ve actually read both of those and loved them. I just bought The Diviners by Libba Bray today. I’ve heard it’s a great fantasy to get lost in. ?

Dangerous Minds was fairly good. Ready Player One, though not technically dystopian has similar elements, The Mortality Doctrine by Dashner is good too. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury…

not sure how well known this author is, but I really liked this series and I typically do not like dystopian type books at all. I thought it was pretty fresh and had an interesting spin on the whole end of the world deal.

I am a sucker for anything Dick puts out. I loved this story 🙂 Its a great distopian thriller as can be expected by the anything Dick writes.
