I see some people use apps and stuff to see if there libraries have a certain book? Help! What apps and stuff do you use without actually going?!

Overdrive is a good one

Overdrive and Libby, but your library has to subscribe to them and they are specifically for ebooks and audiobooks, not actual books.

Is there a app that tells what books are at your actual library?

I don’t think so… that would be really awesome though

My library has a website and I request books and renew them online but then you have to go to pick them up and return them

It’s call the library catalog. The old fashioned way but you can use it on their website.

My library has their database on their website, but not an app.

Are you sure? I live in a rural, low income county and we have one. There’s only 2 library locations for the whole county that includes about 10 towns/cities.

Have you asked the library or just googled it? My library has a picky website you just have to know lol. I’m constantly checking to see what’s checked out and what’s in.

My library didn’t advertise it. I asked about it. You may want to ask about ebooks. I live in a small town and pur library has it. We borrow it from two counties over where they share it. I also got a card from a city about an hour away from their library.

I work a t a library. There are several apps that are available, but your library needs to have a subscription to them. I would call you local library and ask. They should be able to help you from there and walk you through any process.
