It’s a great piece of writing, Miss Haversham is particularly well imagined I thought. My favourite Dickens is Bleak House, which is even better, with a bit of spontaneous human combustion included free. ?

This is very true. I’ve been trying to read it lately but doing so at bedtime which has not been successful. Changing to a daytime only read

So long ago. I would like to reread but I can never get into Dickens writing.
Really enjoy it – a strange book, but surely one of Dickens’ best.
It is a great read. I have a friend who rereads it every few years just to relive it.
