I thought it started a bit slow but I got into it about half way through and couldn’t put it down. I’m reading the sequel “The Girl in the Tower” and have been gripped from the beginning.

I just finished it two days ago and was completely enchanted. A little dark, it really has the tone of a winter fairytale with a great heroine.

My new favorite! I was completely absorbed, and so sad when it ended! I love the way the author combines historical fiction with a bit of myth and fantasy – all genres that appeal to me. ? The sequel was just as good. Now, I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the 3rd in August!

It was good! Had a couple of “creepy” bits in, which I don’t personally cope with very well, but after the first creepy bit I only read it in daylight and was fine. I do feel it’s quite a wintery book, though. I’m glad to have read it over the Christmas break.
