There are so many different sub genres of Fantasy that it’s hard to know what you like, but here are some I enjoyed:

The Dragon Kings books by Kimberly Loth

The Dusk Gate Chronicles by Breeana Puttroff

The Taking Series by Melissa West

The Deadlock Trilogy by PT Hylton

And you might like my book Finding the Light by Kelsey Atkins ? (only book 1 has been released so far).

And The Gifting Series by K.E Ganshert (kind of dystopian but so good)

The kingkiller chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss excellent series.

Great books. But there’s a really boring hump to get over in the very beginning. Also, they are starting to become like Game of Thrones where it just takes forever for the next book in the series to come out. 😛

Agreed been waiting for ages now for day 3 of kvothes tale then it’s on to the tales of the characters in the book I want to learn more about tempi for sure.

Apparently, the title is Doors of Stone. No release date, yet… at least none that I can find.

Brandon

Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne
Blood Song
Kingkiller Chronicle
The Farseer Trilogy
Mistborn Era 1
The Demon Cycle (even though i think it’s one book too long and the unnecessary sex scenes get old quick in the last book)
Red Rising
Wheel of Time
First Law Trilogy
The Night Angel Trilogy
The Belgariad

As far as standalones go i loved Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson, Girl with all the Gifts, Kings of the Wyld, American Gods, Lost Gods, Neverwhere

Good list. I agree about Demon Cycle. You should try The Cycle Of Arawn, fun characters and cool to see the magic system developing

Brandon

@Seth i have them but i’ve never actually read them, i was torn between theft of swords or age of myth to start with michael sullivan

It’s a pretty good trilogy. I liked his next trilogy a lot, it’s less dark and quite funny.

Ryan Anthony Wow i don’t do a lot of audiobooks so i never knew that, but that’s amazing! i’m glad he does such a good job on such a wonderful series. i hate hearing about people getting turned off from great books because of a poor narrator.

Raymond E Feist’s insanely long series starting with the Riftwar Saga and ending with the Demon War Saga. Great books my all time favorites. Was very sad that they ended a couple years ago. Also, Lynn Flewellings Nightrunner series if you are not squeemish about the main character being gay. Was a shock to find out part way through the book. Short scenes that can be skipped over and not annoying references to a bond word.
