Books by Jim C Hines- (Princess Novels, a funny, interesting take on the fairy tale princesses like sleeping Beauty is an assassin. ) or his other series (Magic Ex Libris-where books are magic and Libriomancers can pull items from books to protect the world, this has romance and creatures and humor)
