The Poetry of Robert Frost. Or my all time favorite, Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman. I fell in love with this book at an early age, my grandma bought me it at a rumage sell near her house. I still have it, it is a first edition printed in 1855. And I fell in love with Robert Frost’s poetry thanks to my high school english teacher. The other poet that I never knew about until I visited his historical home in Carmel-By-The-Sea is Robinson Jeffers, his poetry is somewhat dark but very good.

Carmel is so beautiful! I’ve grown up in Sacramento, but I have visited all 48 continental us states and Alaska. I haven’t been to Hawai’i yet, but someday I will make it there…. My parents took me to see Robinson Jeffers home for my 16th birthday. It was so beautiful, and to see the rooms he writes about in his poems, you can just see the beauty in his words. That is what made me fall in love with his work…

Only you can answer the question. ?

If you ‘are’ looking for good poetry, look no further than Eliot. Read Four Quartets and Prufrock and Other Observations. ?
