Whatever floats your boat. Personally, I see the practicality of them, but I prefer books.

They ARE books. As are ebooks. The word “book” is not reserved for the paper variety.

@Leslie I meant the physical kind. Sorry, I didn’t mean to piss you off.

@Shannon Not really PO’d, but maybe I overreact. So many people actually don’t *consider* audiobooks (or sometimes ebooks) to be “books.” 🙁

@Leslie that’s fine. I can understand that.

I agree books are books. No matter if they are paper/ hardback, e reader or even audio.
A person still gets the story.
I personally do not use audiobooks because they are too expensive and I just like to sit and read.
I however did give up physical books for an E reader several years ago.
I am unfortunately not a wealthy person books are very expensive.
Not to mention I’m a bit of the germ Freak. I don’t like to borrow books from the Library (I vision people leaving them later round on the bathroom floor which I have seen at work and using the restroom and not washing their hands afterwards and then picking up the book and reading).
Although I used to loan and borrow books from my coworkers often.
But the problem is when I really like a book I like to keep it and reread it.
So therefore I really appreciate having an e reader so I can have more books and keep them. Now I have the space to keep them as before I was literally running out of room for all my books.
So personally no matter how you get the story your still getting the authors story. whether it e-books physical, books or audio.

A lot of times, I will wipe down a book, with a dust jacket, w/some sanitizer.

I listen to them once in a while but I tend to read fast so listening to someone else just slows the story down.

I think they work well only when you’re stuck in traffic. But that’s just my opinion 😀

I use audio books for classic novels and short stories.The language can be an issue with writers like Melville ,Dickens etc but an expert narrator can bring these authors alive very vividly.
